koorenhuis

We’re happy to welcome Het Koorenhuis back as part of Grauzone. Throughout the entire festival weekend, this versatile venue will host a varied programme including live music, Q&A sessions and film screenings, while also offering a place to sit down, relax and catch your breath in between the intensity of the festival.

Located on Prinsegracht in the centre of The Hague, Het Koorenhuis is directly across the street from PAARD, making it an easy and accessible stop while moving between venues. The space will be fully dedicated to Grauzone for the whole weekend, serving as both a cultural hub and a moment of calm within the festival.

Originally built in 1662–1663 as a grain exchange and warehouse, Het Koorenhuis is a striking example of classicist architecture. From its earliest days, the building functioned as a place for trade as well as for cultural and social exchange, housing institutions such as the Haagsche Tekenacademie and various guilds. Today, the building is a national monument and a vibrant centre for culture, creativity and talent development.
