Performance: Rebecca Lillich Krüger

Rebecca Lillich Krüger is a performance artist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Her work is invested in the power of transformation through theatricality and the body, with an emphasis on text work, high physicality and aesthetic surrealism.
As a performer she has worked for Antonio Guzman/Iva Jankovic, Fernando Oliveira/ANT Physical Theater, Sedrig Verwoert, Luna Ananda, Erika Tsimbrovsky/AVY K Productions, and Jort Faber to name a few. Aiming to meld her technical and artistic background with socio-political awareness, through many doubts she seeks to engage with work that dismantles singular paradigms in performance and invests in practices and communities that keep the heart beating.

During the opening of Graukunst, Lillich Krüger will perform The Heart Has Many Strings. A contemporary reflection on the myth of Ariadne and the Minotaur, The Heart attempts to reveal the interconnectedness of human experience, shared emotional and energetic dependency between peoples and introduce a metaphoric reference between fiber art traditions and love.

The audience is invited into the performance; an act of trust, tied together by the interactive costume, becomes a basis for play between the bodies in the space.
