Sheyma (NL)

Sheyma's music is inspired by influences from different genres of Moroccan music such as Gnawa music, Moroccan Chaabi mixed with Arabic alternative.

While her vocals are connected to traditions of Arabic music (to which she takes an unconventional approach), the structures of the songs are very remote from its codes, and take in elements from pop, folk and contemporary Western electronics. Her live performance consist of her singing , playing frame drums and guitar, along with the multi instrumental musician Giuseppe who plays L'oud ,Settar, and Lyra. We’re happy to welcome her at grauzone!
